Young African Film Makers Awards (YAFMA)
During the Africa Film Festival, a place of honor is reserved for the annual Guido Huysmans Young African Film Makers Award (YAFMA). This competition provides a platform for young and promising talent from Africa. This year's selection consists of four short films in various genres, ranging from fiction to documentary.
With the name of this competition, AFF honors one of its founders, Guido Huysmans. He passed away in the summer of 2014 after a trip through Africa, where he was specifically looking for talented young filmmakers.
From a wide range of films, we have selected four exceptional short films. These titles will be shown on the big screen at Cinema ZED.

The YAFMA selection will be viewed and assessed by a jury. The winner of the competition will be announced during the Award Night on Sunday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m.
