Demba is slowly but surely approaching retirement age. After 30 years of loyal service at the town hall of his village in Senegal, it is finally time to enjoy life. But that shows to become a big challenge as long as he carries a huge grief with him. He still has not been able to give his wife's death a place in his mind. Can Demba ever cope with this loss without losing himself completely? 

‘Demba’ explores the grey zone between grief and recovery. Themes like mental health, alienation and depression are also a common thread in this compelling drama by Senegalese director Mamadou Dia
