In New York in the 1980s and 1990s, young Caribbean immigrants kept their culture and identity alive through a new genre: dancehall. With rousing music, cool sound systems, and rhythmic dance, they built a unique scene that will eventually become world famous.

This musical documentary about an underrepresented movement within the Afro-Caribbean diaspora was co-produced by Shaggy. ‘Bad Like Brooklyn Dancehall’ combines unique archival footage from Kingston and Brooklyn with interactive stories and energetic performances.
