AFFON TOUR
The Afrika Filmfestival extends far beyond our annual flagship event. Throughout the year, we bring selected films from our archive to communities, universities, and cultural centers across Belgium and beyond.
Our touring program includes special screenings, Q&A sessions with filmmakers, and educational workshops that celebrate African cinema in a wide range of locations.
Our mission
Amplifying African Voices Through Cinema
The Afrika Filmfestival screens, promotes, and disseminates a wide range of films that inspire, inform, and engage audiences. AFF embraces the principles of plurality and diverse perspectives in its programming, showcasing films from across the African continent as well as works by Afro-descendant filmmakers.
Rooted in Leuven, which serves as its home base, AFF extends far beyond the region. In collaboration with a wide range of partners—including international film festivals, filmmakers, cultural intermediaries, and culture enthusiasts—AFF fosters sustainable exchange and develops programming that presents and represents stories in a critical and thoughtful manner
