Un petit frère

Spoken: French / Subtitles: Dutch

Un petit frère is the intimate story of a family consisting of a feisty and independent single mother, Rose, who moves from the Ivory Coast to Paris with her two little boys. Deceptively simple, the story moves in three chapters from one protagonist to the next at different stages of their lives. The result is a composite shot of a family in which the values and choices of one character outweighs those of the others from afar. Over the course of the film, Rose, Jean and Ernest represent different facets of the realities of immigrants in France.
