Satché wakes up perspiring, in his own bedroom. His loved ones glance benevolently at him, with affectionate gestures. In another room, his mother awaits him and hugs him, whispering, "Don't be afraid." He has just started the last day of his life. Down there, in Senegal, it still happens that death announces its arrival. There follows a man's journey towards death, mingling his nearest and dearest with memories both reassuring and painful, as music confronts silence, friends enemies, and a former mistress a devoted wife.
