T-Junction

T-Junction is a story of a friendship between two young women, Fatima and Maria, who meet in the unlikely location of a hospital queue and slowly begin to share their stories. As Maria’s story comes to life, we meet her friends and family, market stall owners of T-Junction in Dar-es Salaam, who experience love and laughter alongside the harsh reality of police brutality.  As Fatima’s late father is Indian-Tanzanian, her story explores the themes of ethnicity and class within Tanzanian society.
