The festival in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary, also known as Reinado, is one of the most traditional devotional events of Minas Gerais, a Brazilian state. It is a mix of traditions that go back to Congolese and Mozambican slaves. This folklore event brings Catholic and African cults together, in which many people dress as Kings and Queens, among them Maria Conceição de Jesus, known as  Dona Sãozinha, the Perpetual Queen of the Reign of the small country town Itaúna.
