Mon identité

In Senegal, and throughout West Africa, live a plurality of ethnic groups, themselves subdivided into different castes. But what is surprising is the ease with which, in this region, we exchange between ethnic groups. The simplicity and humor with which we address the ethnic question in this part of Africa conquered me. Because deep inside, I want my country, Burundi, torn by cyclical ethnic wars, to live in peace.
