MAPANTSULA
Mapantsula is the first major international black South African film. It was censored during Apartheid in South Africa. This film is a result of collaboration between director Oliver Schmitz, a white South African, and black actor Mogotlane Thomas, author of the screenplay. Unlike anti-apartheid foreign movies, Mapantsula is not a political film about activist discourse.
