A university should be a place of quality education and offering the elements for a better future. However, Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar in Senegal, has become like a prison and cemetery for many students: overcrowded ill-equipped auditoria and student rooms. There are always long lines in the cafeteria and the showers. In addition, education often comes to a halt due to a strike or demonstration because student scholarships and teachers’ salaries are not paid in time. The film follows four students all from disadvantaged backgrounds : Léocadie, Demba, Mbar and Mamy. We discover their lives and their dreams with setbacks and perseverance.
