Latifa, le coeur au combat
Spoken: French/Arabic. Subtitles: English.
French-Moroccan Latifa lost her son, a French soldier, in the 2012 terrorist attack in Toulouse. Instead of giving in to despair, this unleashed an unsuspected strength in her. She tries to fill the inner void by devoting herself to young people in the banlieues, in the hope of preventing future attacks. She is now a public figure with her own foundation, working for young people and peace. This observational documentary follows her as she travels through France with unremiiting energy to discuss current problems concerning integration, racism, equal opportunities, separation of church and state – and of course Islam.
