FLAME

The story starts in 1975 in a small village at the peak of the civil war in Rhodesia (which became Zimbabwe on April 18, 1980 after eight years of civil war). The life of two teenage girls changes dramatically when the father of one of them is captured by the Rhodesians. They decide to go to Mozambique to join the guerrilla forces there. Life in the camps is hard... The girls train like the men, assume the noms de guerre of Flame and Liberty... and join in the struggle. "Flame" also tells of how during the war women fighters joined the struggle and gained their own independence.
