Between Two Seas

During a short trip to her hometown on a small island near Cairo, Zahra’s eldest daughter is the victim of a tragic accident. This sends Zahra out on a struggle to change the small community, characterized by patriarchal and women-oppressive ways of thinking. The women’s stories are at the center throughout the film, and show how they all fight for a better life for themselves and the people around them.
