Portrait of an Afro-American, a veteran of the Vietnam War, who feels misunderstood and whose illusions are shattered. He is not only alienated from the whites, but also from the Afro-Americans around him. A film which illustrates Gerima's ambivalent attitude to the radical militant black ideology.
