Abeti Masikini: le combat d'une femme

During 60 minutes, the film makes the viewer discover the life and work of the famous Congolese singer Abeti Masikini. “This woman , desperate to achieve her dream to become a famous singer, experiences disappointment, rejections and failures. First of all, because she was a woman, secondly because of her accent and special voice, but especially because her music was so different.  But Abeti Masikini turned her particularities into a strength, an added value in the music world. Her determination, courage and love for her work  make her an international icon, “ say the makers of the film. The film is an adaptation of the book “Abeti Masikini, Zaire’s golden voice”, written by Berthrand Matoko Nguyen, also known as Bebe Matoko, who was the friend and the spokesman of Abeti Masikini.
