This film, entitled 1970, begins in early January 1970, the late days of the Nigerian Civil War which we know as the horrible Biafra war. A young woman finds a wounded soldier, the enemy, on her father’s farm.  She thinks of her three brothers who died in this war. Although she has every reason to hate the soldier, she does everything for the injured to survive. Some weeks later the Military president General Yakubu Gowon declared the 1967-1970 Civil war ended. Now comfortable with each other’s company both become friends and fall in love. They decide to spend the rest of their lives together as man and wife. It is based on a true story.
